Charles Hoskinson (re)joins Ethereum Classic!

According to a recent tweet, Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson has decided to rejoin Ethereum, but this time on the Classic team.

Check out his twitter for the latest tweets:

A few days ago, he retweeted Litecoin creator Charlie Lee with the following tweet likening the Ethereum Foundation to the oil cartel OPEC:

Which shows that both Charles and Charlie are critical to the way Ethereum decided to bail out the DAO token holders. Now, a couple of gents supporting the oppsition may not normally be a biggie. These two guys, however, are cryptocurrency veterans as good as they get.

Litecoin, one of the earliest altcoins, quickly rose to become second only to Bitcoin, and thus established itself as the "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold". Charlie Lee could easily be said to be one of the early visionaries in the Cryptocurrency Space.

Charles himself is no lightweight in the cryptocurrency space, with a track record that would make any aspiring crypto-enthusiast's blood boil. Before Co-founding Ethereum he was involved in the early stages of the development of BitShares, together with STEEM/Steemit Co-Founder Bytemaster (Dan Larimer) @dantheman .

He is now director of The Bitcoin Education Project which, according to their own words aims to "reduce the knowledge barriers to entry for everyday people to enter the Bitcoin world" and "to make Bitcoin more relatable to mainstream activities."

or as Charles puts it on his Linked-In page:

"The Bitcoin Education Project is responsible for providing creative commons licensed content to inform, evangelize and unite the general public on the value of decentralization, cryptocurrencies, mainstream cryptography and the power of blockchains."

At the end of the day, it is hard to know what exactly will come out of the Ethereum vs Classic brawl, but Classic getting the endorsement and even direct support of such figures within the community will definitely raise some eyebrows...

i think the ethereum classic will catch up with the ethereum hard fork in price very soon. i will get myself couple of hundred as the price still around $1.50

Good to see some heavyweights lending their support to ETC. Some say it'll put ETH back two years but it's always these types of crises where diamonds can be forged. It's all a matter of pressure, as long as it's not too much, Ethereum platform will progress faster with Bitcoin having a real challenge on its hands to remain the King of Cryptos.
