Poloniex introduces Pascal coin...Yes written in Pascal?!

in #crypto-news9 years ago

This takes me back to high school around 2001, I was doing my Grade 12 (Matric class) programming Pascal.

I was awarded third position in the Computer Olympiad held by Old Mutual and Computer Society of South Africa for my Pascal programming.

My certificate...they even made a mistake with my name Lucky to Lucy....hahaha

Pascal is an imperative and procedural programming language, which Niklaus Wirth designed in 1968–69 and published in 1970, as a small, efficient language intended to encourage good programming practices using structured programming and data structuring.

I also got to program Visual Basic at that time...well a lot of people will be more familiar with Visual Studio.

This was still the dark age, while we were still using Stiffy disk...this thing had only 1.44 MB...

YES 1.44 MB...think about a typical mp3 song today...that won't fit in there.

But believe it or we could save and play a Mario game in a stiffy disk.

Personally I never took Pascal programming serious despite the awards...I actually liked Visual Basic because of the graphic interface. Never thought one day Pascal will be used to build a cryptocurrency.

It's name is "Pascal Coin" due it's written from the scratch in Pascal language.

Pascal Coin is an "easy to understand" and "easy to work with" Crypto,
because it is very similar to a bank. Using "easy to remember" accounts
instead of cryptographic address's Example of address in Bitcoin: 1LpwTz4WWT35q1jr47rU5XhkuCvBrd561k

Had to confirm this claim on my Poloniex:

Just a few hours since added on Poloniex

I am very much interested in the source code as seen on github
