XYO Network - Decentralized Crypto-Location Oracle Network

We were already writing how data became the world’s more valuable resource, as the multi-billion companies such as Facebook and Google are turning huge sums based on it. Several projects already developed platforms for monetizing your personal information, but none of them focused on location data. Until now.

The team behind https://get.xyo.network/ is introducing XYO – the world’s first location network. We are all aware how the world is moving forward with all the new technology taking over. Location services come very useful in different areas, which resulted in different apps, such as WhatsApp, implementing it in their system. Facebook has it almost since forever, the high-tech car companies are developing self-driving modules, while Amazon already had packages successfully delivered by drones! Crazy! Obviously, this will be the next big thing and the XYO project is here to push for a new revolution.

Even though the online world is rapidly growing, the offline one is still bigger, and the XYO team is now looking to bridge them! After years of researching, they managed to deploy over a million devices worldwide (world’s largest network), providing GPS and Bluetooth location tracking beacons. This by itself is a HUGE thing, but that didn’t stop the XYO team to continue and accomplish something that nobody managed before – the blockchain technology is not depending on the internet anymore!
This combined will be super useful in so many different areas. The metadata we create with our interactions leaves the mark in the XYZT coordinates. The coordinates combined with the XYO platform will enable smart contracts to enter the real – offline world and check if a device is at a specific place, and if so, the contract can be executed! The possibilities are limitless as the smart contracts can be programmed in any way you desire. This will benefit eCommerce companies as they will have the possibility to offer payments once the product gets delivered. Customers will have the possibility to track their products in real time! Once you get it, the smart contract will activate and proceed with the payment. This could increase the online sales as many are still afraid to pay upfront and online. This is just one example, but if you think for a second, it can be implemented in car rental services, airline luggage tracking (we’ve all been there!), medical care… and so on.
For this and other purposes, the team is introducing XYO tokens.
