Poloniex halts deposits and withdrawals for Monero (XMR)

Hm, in the middle of a mega pump, Poloniex has the message up

XMR deposits and withdrawals will be down for several hours while the wallet resyncs

Isn't that funny, where have I seen that before?

Hohoho, latest gossip I've read is, that Smooth was starting the Monero pump, with some $260k he made on Steem.
Maybe something went terribly wrong, after they decided to go short once they were ready pumping.

The news that Monero will be the big bad dark web currency seems to be a total fabrication on itself.
Someone sets up a Monero TOR exit node, nothing else, thats what I've read.
