The new (android-native) Smartcoins Wallet

in #crypto-news9 years ago (edited)

This material design, lightning-fast mobile wallet will be done by June 1st

The most complex screen is the send screen since it has to support merchants who have issued you some of their loyalty points (their uia), plus the backup asset (overdraft protection) and the ability to instantly cash out (some or all of) one of your other assets if you want to hold on to the currency that the merchant is requiring from you. Anyway, here is the basic mockup of that screen:

Keeping the UI clean and simple with so many features is tough, especially if your Grandma is going to WANT to use this :) The UI/UX has got to be a no-brainer for the user, and less taps/swipes to get to what you want, color-code it, make it pretty, etc.

Please Upvote and share, thank you! :)

Got some work on the Receive screens done today:

I hope people can understand this screen.

If you have ideas, please let me know (telegram/skype/tweets: @kenCode_de).

If you are at a merchant and you scan their qr code, your wallet can tell if you have shopped there before and prompt you to spend some/all of the Loyalty Points that merchant has given you in the past.

The SEND button is not enabled unless you send at least the amount that the merchant requires from you for the sale.

The send screen also allows you to select existing contacts (the image comes from Gravatar (soon we will add IPFS support too).

I have decided to make the backup asset (see the OP) feature optional (this way you can just disable/hide it from your send screen). You have to admit, Overdraft Protection in a crypto wallet is kinda cool though, right? :)

If you enable, and choose a default "Backup Asset" in the Settings screen, here is roughly what it will look like when that section shows up on your Send screen:

Alt Text

I bet the Backup Asset will raise some questions. Will it have a tooltip with an explanation in case someone sees it for the first time while at the cashier? Otherwise it looks like it's really well though out.

Yeah, the backup asset can be used for overdraft protection, or in cases where you just want to dump some of that asset and not have to spend eur or usd etc. I will probably allow you to just disable/hide that feature via the settings menu. It's tough to make/keep so many features user friendly.
