Robinhood Investing App launches crypto in 5 states

California, Massachusetts, Missoouri, MOntana, and New Hampshire can utilize Robinhoods new trading platform. Currently users may only buy or sell Bitcoin or Ethereum, but- the tracking service I'm sure is mining user data to see which to add next!
Last month, Robinhoods official announcement claimed they were trying to bring crypto to a wider audience.
The application runs on zero commission trading, and is targeting a newer trading audience.

"Together, we reached four million users and well over $100 billion in transaction volume on our brokerage platform, leading to over $1 billion in commissions saved in equity trades. With the release of Robinhood Crypto, we're continuing our mission of making the financial system work for everyone, not just the wealthy."

There is also a social media platform Robinhood Feed, which a limited amount of users may use as a forum to discuss crypto space, and markets in real time.

20+ South Korean Exchanges Voluntarily undergo evaluation

The Korean Blockchain Association an industry formed group launched in Jan with 66 members. Their goal- self regulation. Composed of 33 exchanges, including Upbit Bithumb Korbit and Coinone will undergo evaluations. Local media says these other exchanges have volunteered.
Glosfer, Nexcoin, Zeniex, Kairex, Kcx Exchange, Komid, Coinway, Coinzest, Plutus DS, Dexko, Gopax, Okcoin Korea, and Huobi Korea.
The purpose is to see whether or not, the members have complied with the set of self regulatory members.

It will include capital standards, security standards, principles on listing procedures, disclosure of information, etc, and I expect investors to believe that they [exchanges] are more stable if they have passed the examination.

This doesn't come without difficulty however.

Disputes may arise in operating the organization..We are trying to solve this problem.

Organizing anyone is difficult let alone this much money. They have to be able to be proffessional, and looking at the greater good. Difficult task for most.

UK Treasury Committee studying how crypto effects business

The UK Parliment's treasury Committee will be launching a research project on cryptocurrencies. But, not your average project.
This one is studying how adding crypto to a business model, effects their business from risks- to laundering.

"The Treasury Committee will look at the potential risks that digital currencies could generate for consumers, businesses, and governments, including those relating to volatility, money laundering, and cyber-crime. We will also examine the potential benefits of cryptocurrencies and the technology underpinning them, how they can create innovative opportunities, and to what extent they could disrupt the economy and replace traditional means of payment."

the committee will be exploring the key question- can crypto ever replace currency?
