What do you think is causing this recent downtrend?
Cryptos were overvalued and a few people started to realize it. They started to sell and then the masses followed suit. No conspiracy. No single event.
Emotions and I was buying like crazy the last few days. People can look use technical analysis but they still must be able to recognize market sentiment because that is where the big money is made. Buy when everyone is fearful and sell when everyone is jubilant.
stocks are trash
Not because we're invested in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general it doesn't mean we should look down on other investing industries. Lets keep an open mind here.

Hey Happy moving day! Congrats man. Great update, lots of the things you mention about venezuela happen in many or most to the Latin countries. Have you read about the currency wars? It's all such an awful manipulation.. I just hope they aren't just extending the supposed interest in cryptos regulation to load up on them and keep doing the same thing. hahah its mean the fear of crypto rise of in world to other sociall media like facebook and its really intresting that the facebook banned the crypto ads and now the google will also but i think now these things cannot stop the crypto flood

The ban should not come as a surprise to the market as Venezuela has been very antagonistic towards the US and its administration for years. This should not been seen as a ban or limitation towards the general cryptocurrency market but instead a continued increase in sanction to Venezuela and its regime that has its population under considerable suffering. In this case, to not do anything is contrary to the US stance regarding Venezuela.
I think this recent spike is simply another bull trap and will go down again maybe a bit further before a long term bull run begins, the next bull run will certainly be epic that is for sure. Recently Kevin O Leary announced the first SEC approved real estate backed Token and this is the first of is kind that uses smart contracts and may actually be able to compete with traditional stocks. And U.S congress recently released a 2018 report where for the first time ever they dedicated a whole section to the discussion of cryptocurrencies. Big things happening for cryptocurrency and blockchain tech as a whole!
