Mysterious Litecoin Project Announced By MIT?

Today I want to talk about the Litecoin Project Announced by MIT. A mysterious countdown appeared on MIT's website today. The institute will unveil a project on August 1 the same day Bitcoin plans on the UASF.
Charlie Lee the creator of Litecoin just tweeted, "For everyone wondering, I'm in the dark on this one also. My guess is that it's related to MIT's DCI Lit lightning network. Exciting!". Soon after, an article surfaced on Trading View calling out Charlie Lee as Satoshi Nakamoto himself to which Charlie retweeted and responded, "I've been outed!"

I think you need to be my alarm clock. Then I'd be happy to wake up. Lol.
If MIT can show the world first class solutions that can benefit Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies, perhaps by Lightning Network technology, it could rock the field. This sure could spark speculation in the Litecoin market.
I cannot recall any significant developments in Litecoin the last few years other than the recent Segwit implementation (that afterwards fell flat in the market). Despite its market cap and price, it is one of the slowest threads on Bitcointalk for such a major cryptocurrency.
So I am super curious about what all this is about. And unfortunately we still have a waiting period of 39 days ahead.
Who is lightcoin competing with? Seriously $40 for a coin nobody uses?

@raphaelll I dont think increasing your position in ltc is a bad move right now. I believe there is chance we see 100 in the next couple weeks and w/ this shake up with etheruem that has the market loosing some faith in it might open up some room for ltc. Just my 0.000007 btc
