Yes, and I won on a technicality. I was asked to spell "cannon," but I spelled it "canon." As I was told to leave the stage, another teacher objected. I never asked to hear it in a sentence so I still spelled a correct word and won
And they probably never used canon/cannon again in a competition. haha!
