Turbo Killer - and cultural differences

If you think others should pay artist, it seems only fair that you pay yourself when you like a project. So I just paid these two French Guys in their crowd-funding efforts on Kickstarter: Blood Machines.

To make others interested (well, it goes for you too, actually) I shared the project on Diaspora, my main Social Network, with a link to the music video, Turbo Killer, that is the predecessor for this project. You can see it here:

To me it is French aesthetics when it is best. I thought of the Fifth Element, Moebius, daft punk. But unfortunately an American musician that I normally appreciate, only saw pizzagate, evil magic and Satanism. The video is truly filled with occult symbolism, but such things are really not taken seriously in Northern Europe.

Sometimes a discussion can feel like you and the one you talk to are from two different planets, and not from opposite sides of the Atlantic ocean. It was all very civil, not a shouting argument, people joined in and... yea, most did not really believe that Clinton was involved in paedophile Wyzardry, but people looked at the evidence, things like this FBI document about secret paedophile symbols from a source that I trust. A strange world. The whole pizzagate thing reminded me of the strange rituals in William Gibson's novel Virtual Light where urban poor savages worship the homosexual boy whose blood provided the cure for the HIV-virus. It brought me back to the days when I was a cyberpunker... the days that the creators of the video adore... and I couldn't help feeling that we now live in your own dystopian dreams from the nineties.

It do make you think, when somebody sees evil magic, and you see spiffy colours and beautiful girls in a video made by two French guys in their mothers garage... doesn't it?
