Bullfights in Croatia - secret/ controversial tradition
Allegedly, the victory on bullfight tournament is rewarded with two to three thousand euros. Of course, there are also illegal bets on the outcome of the tournament.
The traditional "play" of bulls has for centuries been the most normal social event in some countries, while the other part of the society is horribly annoyed by this unethical and torture act. Traditional bullfights are held every year in Croatia. The best known event is in Dalmatian Zagora Šestanovac under the name "bikijada".

In Croatia, official torture of animals is prohibited as well as encouraging them to fight. But now is the question why this rule does not apply to bull fighting? Officially there is a law but it has "spared" bullfighting since it is considered to be a long-standing tradition in Dalmatia and it is legal.
