A criminal case in Changchun resulted in many deaths. Witnesses said the suspect fell to his death after committing the crime

At about 12:30 on October 17, a criminal case occurred in the Yiju Community of Shoushan, Tuanshan Street, Kuancheng District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Many residents said that many people died in the incident, and the suspect had fallen to his death after committing the crime.

Videos taken by local residents showed that after the incident, multiple fire trucks and police cars entered and exited the Yiju community in Shoushan. At around 6 o'clock in the evening on the 17th, the entrance of the affected community was posted with the words "Public Rental Housing Shoushan Yiju Community", and many residents were discussing the matter. There are many glass shards and bricks on the ground under the 6th building, and there are suspected blood stains on the ground.

According to a number of residents, at about 12:30 noon, a household on the 25th floor of the 6th building in the community smoked. Later, fire trucks and many police officers came and carried out several bodies from the 6th building.

An insider said that the residents involved lived on the 25th floor of Building 6, and their home had a fire and smoke at the time of the incident and was extinguished by the fire. Witnesses said that he heard a loud noise shortly after the incident. When he went out to see, a middle-aged man was lying motionless on the ground.

The reporter climbed to the 25th floor and found that the unit had two elevators and four households, but the doors and windows were closed, and there was nothing unusual in the corridor.

As a resident, the reporter asked the Xinjie Police Station, the director of the Kuancheng District Branch of the Changchun Public Security Bureau. The officer on duty said that a police situation did occur in the Yiju Community of Shoushan on the afternoon of the 17th, and the criminal police department had taken over. The specific situation is unclear.
