India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI

in #cricket7 years ago

India flopped in a drastic way to be honest. Credit to Sri Lanka, at the way they managed to beat India in such a dominant way.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to field first, and it really paid off for them. India played wreckless shots and well. There are no words to describe their batting display really, and that justifies how important Virat Kohli is for India in general. People who still believe that India has the best batting lineup are idiots. India do not have the best batting lineup, but the best batsman. If India really had the best batting lineup, they would have made 250+ runs in this game, and they didn't do that. When i woke up, i saw India 29/7, and then i saw MS Dhoni batting with the tail, and MS showed his class and tried to stand tall with a brilliant 65. MS came in when his team were 16/5 and getting India to across the 100 mark was something only MS could have done. He denied the singles, he was practically going 1 vs 11. The lone warrior that has proven himself once again, that he can fight for the side. Nothing else to say to be honest. Indias batting was just fucked up.

Moving on to Sri Lankas batting. India tried, but it was not a challenging total at all. India were demoralised since they lost early wickets. A good 49 from Upul Tharanga got the game out of Indias reach, and India deserved to loose. They deserved to show that they do not have the best batting lineup, but the best batsman. Without Virat, Indias batting looks even worse than Pakistans, which is really bad.

To sum it all up, i want to say, that we Indians should not except too much from this series. We need just have faith in them. If they can manage something out of the rest of the ODI series, it will be a good thing for Indias future and i hope they will
