Indian Premier League, the best sporting event going on in the world at present. The event kicked off yesterday and this is there was no spectacular opening ceremony like previous years and there was band display from Indian armed forces. The revenue on the first day was donated to the families of jawans killed in pulawama terror attack.

There are 8 teams competing and will be playing in a double round robin league and there will be qualifier and eliminator matches before the final.
There is plenty of joy for cricket lovers all over the world as this is a 20 over aside matches and there is surplus of excitement.

Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions and we shall see if they would defend the trophy this year.

I live in UK and unfortunately the matches are not broadcasted on sky sports which is a huge disappointment, however i have a subscription for star plus which includes star gold and the matches are live on this in HD.

Each team is allowed 4 international players in the playing 11 and that balances the teams very well and you get to see quality cricket and some new talent as well. The prize money and the player fees is handsome in this tournament.

It is a good cricket season for India and a warmup before the cricket World Cup which will start here in UK in few months time. There will be many illegal betting operators in India. I think betting should be legalised to prevent this as it is in UK.
