Day/Night Test Matches

Cricket becomes one of the most popular games in the world in last decades. Day and night matches help to increase the amount of cricket fans as a part of game taking part at night which is a relatively free time.

Day and night test is the most recent experiment done by the ICC to increase the popularity of Test match Cricket. There were 10 Day/Night test matches played started on 27 Nov-1 Dec at Adelaide Oval cricket ground in Australia.

Australia became the first country which won a Day/Night test match by defeating New Zealand by 3 wickets in the same match. They have also played the highest number of Day/Night test matches (4 matches). Day/Night test match has never ended as a drawn match as all had results finally.

Rose ball is used for test cricket in Day/Night matches as it is the best combination of red ball which is used for day matches and the white ball which is used for limited over matches. day-night-test.jpg

The next Day/Night test cricket match will be held on 24-28 Jan 2019 between Sri Lanka and Australia at the Gabba, Brisbane. Hope all cricket fans will enjoy it
