Kiwi Cricket Series Victory!

I don't normally put up two posts in an hour but there were two pretty major bits of news I wanted to post on - the Steem price jump and the cricket!

New Zealand successfully survived today to draw the second test against England and therefore win the series 1-0. It is the first series win over England since 1999 and the first home series victory since 1983-84.

I think this picture really summarises the day. Neil Wagner, surrounded by the entire English team. He survived 103 balls for 7 runs, holding up one end while Ish Sodhi scored 56 from 168 balls. It was a battle of concentration from the batters versus the persistence of the English bowlers and was wonderful to watch, despite the lack of run scoring.

The picture also reminds me of playing club cricket as a youngster. In one particular game we had one wicket to take to win the match and the final batters were very tentative. We surrounded them in a similar fashion (although with a few more players in front of the batter along the side of the pitch).
