Do not forget that the best novels were written by people who wrote and reflected on paper. Of course, there are other factors, but this one is one of the key.

Move to the beginning of the ending
Many novice writers love automatic writing. However, they love him only because they are afraid or difficult to start thinking. After all, it's much easier - to sit at the table and write what comes to mind. At some point you are illuminated, you understand how to finish the work (all you saw the logic at last) and finish it. Then someone reads it and tells you enough restrained compliments.

The fact is that in your book everything should be subject to the general plan. Ending your novel means the main idea. All previous chapters only bring the reader to a climax. You do not have to be the writer who writes his book and does not know what she will finish. This is a sign of laziness unprofessional attitude.

Of course, automatic writing can not be completely denied, at least for the reason that it delivers true pleasure. You can and should even write like that, if you do not know what your novel is about. But after that you will need to look critically at the written and delete many things.

Remember that any creative product is characterized primarily by wholeness. In painting, script writing, writing novels and design - no matter where, but there must be something in common, around which everything is unfolding. So think up the ending and dance from it. No one forbids you to change it later if you realize that it is unsuccessful. Simply in this case, do not forget to rewrite the existing chapters in order that they obey the new ending and the new rules.
