Today I visited a beach where fishermen used to fish in the traditional way, I will tell you how the fishermen did it, and you can immediately see in this video clearly how they process the fishermen when they catch fish in the sea.
The beach I visited today is the beach of Samudra Pasee, which is located in the Geudong Pasee area of North Aceh, Indonesia. This beach is not only a place for local fishermen to live, it is also a tourist beach that is crowded visited by local young people on weekends or other holidays, but those who often move on the beach are fishermen who find fish in the traditional way every day .
The fishermen catch fish using small nets that are up to 50 meters long, these nets which will be installed from the beach to the midst of the ocean, fishermen install these nets by bringing them to the middle of the ocean with small canoes, small canoes can and see in the video and the size of the boat.
The fishing nets are installed in parallel with the direction of the wood that is plugged into the ground starting from the beach to the middle of the ocean, after the net is neatly installed, the fishermen must wait for hours until the fish are trapped in the net and fishermen can get their catch, usually they have to wait up to 4-5 hours until the fish are trapped in the net.
Well, that's a little story from me about how fishermen in my place live to catch fish in traditional ways, but maybe where you fishermen catch fish differently, and that could be because of other areas and traditions.
