That's really cool! I love it how you make the best of the space you have available (I must admit, I'm kind of an organisation freak and I love little boxes and containers)
I think one of the best way to counter act the tight spaces in a big city living situation is really personalizing that space with an eye toward aesthetically pleasing practicality. To us, now, our very small space feels much larger than it is.
