What's up Steemit?!

Hhelllooooo Steem!!

I've wanted to do this introductory post for at least a month or so already, and really glad I'm finally sitting down now to..."just do it!"

But first - the “short” back-story:

Despite hearing about it in various forms over the last year or so I could never figure out what Steemit is. I think my good friend @noxsoma first mentioned it to me over a year ago. He said it was a social media site that you can get paid for using and he could see the potential from the responses gets on his posts, but he wasn’t sure where the money was exactly or how it could be used.

And instead of doing the logical thing and looking at it for a few mins here and there to find out, it just sat there on the edge of my consciousness for a while like some half remembered meme...

What really got me interested was listening to friends at my local Bitcoin Meetup tell me about it. And like most things my Bitcoin / cryptocurrency (@cryptoxbb, @brandon-rosano, @knircky, @kennethbosak) friends tell me, they're really enthusiastic and excited about it. In essence of what they’re telling me is that it's new, better kind of social media site with a really passionate community, with more positive engagement and discussions, and the best part - everyone who posts can potentially get paid for sharing their knowledge, experiences and talking about things they love. Sounds too perfect!

So I'm finally checking it out now and I'm intrigued! I'm excited to be doing my first post and want to give a shout out to my dude @knircky for helping me understand this enough to want to dive in!

Now that “little” bit of back-story is out of the way, I can get on to telling you a little bit of who I am, what I'm about, and how I plan to contribute to the awesomeness that is the Steemit Community. So drum roll please, as I give a few details of what life is like for your friend & ally Hypnopreneur...

So first off my greatest passion is continually learning to tap more of the unlimited potential of human beings and the enormous creativity they possess.

For the last 15 years of so I've been a journey of healing

and personal development that has taken me through all dozens of different trainings for healing, understanding the mind-body connection, peak performance methods, as well some great business and entrepreneurship ones too.

This ultimately lead me to the too my favorite systems for growth and wellness - that of hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), energy medicine and strategic thinking for business. I'm a certified hypnotist, certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, personal development coach and also do some business and brand management consulting . .

I absolutely love using and discussing the tools of hypnosis and NLP and can tell you from experience using them (and comparing them to traditional therapy and coaching methods) that they are the fastest, most effective (and fun!!) ways to make changes in your life. My life has a sense of joy, flow and purpose I would never have achieved without both NLP and hypnosis. I'll definitely be posting plenty of info about them, with a focus on simple practical principles and techniques you can use to quickly improve your life. And of course if you have questions, please ask! Maybe I can write something specific to your exact challenge.

Moving on - as you can (hopefully) see from the pics in the post that I'm also a graffiti art enthusiast.

I don't really consider myself an artist as I haven't really done murals or even really complete many pieces in my sketch books. :D

I love graffiti and street art and have for many years. I have however gotten to the point where I think some of my 2d outlines are pretty good, and am ready to give them more time to color and complete.

Some day I’d like to eventually do some murals, legally, with spray paint for the world to see, but only time will tell. I know a lot of purists think it has the most merit when it’s done illegally, and I agree to an extent. That’s a fundamentally important aspect of the art form because that’s how it started out and how it changed the art world forever. Many graff artists around the world continue to do it illegally on walls, trains, billboards, and a few even on boats and planes. There is something very powerful about seizing public space to get your voice heard and your art seen. That’s not my ambition these days, though I used to dream about doing it that way when I was much younger...

A few other things I’m proud of and enjoy I’ll try to share quick (lest I give you my whole life’s story!:) I study and practice Chinese kung fu, and don’t even have words to convey my love for it.

I’ve been at it about 6 years so far and my school has become like a second family to me.

The peace, clarity and confidence I feel in my life wouldn’t have come without the time and effort invested in this beautiful martial art system.

What else? I’m a former DJ and club promoter going back to the early 2000’s.

I love all kinds of music and go out of my way to check out house / techno dance music shows, djs and parties. Fortunately, Philly the city where I live has a lot of good things happening so I don’t have to go too far most of the time. Some of my other loves are old-school hip-hop, funk, acid-jazz, ska, rock and punk.

Books... I love to read! to My favorite genre to read for pleasure is science fiction, in particular the cyberpunk and post-cyberpunk authors. My new and current favorite is Charles Stross.

Other stuff I love – business, entrepreneurship / the entrepreneur’s journey, investing – precious metals

and yes Bitcoin!

I’m thrilled by all the developments, innovation and improvements the blockchain and cryptos bring to the world. It’s exciting to see how they will eventually transform everyday life as we know it.

Lastly, spending time with my friends and fam is the most enjoyable way to live life.

Being connected to and communicating with my peoples is what it’s really all about.
