How mobile cinema is developing in the world

We are used to the fact that mobility and attachment to gadgets, which many are simply hung up with, have become integral components of (not yet virtual) reality. But, as they say, the further into the forest... Once at a meeting of journalists and bloggers from the regions of the Central Federal district, I had a chance to talk with the Director of mobile cinema, a multiple participant in international festivals and curator of the first professional course in Russia on creating such films, Maxim Mussel. In short, mobile cinema is developing at a furious pace.
To tell you the truth, I was inspired, too. In a spontaneous rush, I made two clips on my knee, downloading one of the simple free editing programs to my phone. And the third already and show can be will, perhaps. 🙈 In the meantime, I will pass on what the speaker said.

Many famous Directors shoot on their mobile phones. Zack Snyder or Michelle Gondry, for example. Some time ago, the world released the film Steven Soderbergh "Not myself", completely filmed on a smartphone. The box office of the film, which cost $ 1.2 million to create, has already exceeded 11 million. And this is a revolution. Of course, it's not just about the technical component. The success of the film consists of a combination of actors, script, and Director's work. But Soderbergh says that the smartphone has given him freedom and he does not see the point of returning to the big cameras yet.

✔ In social networks, the maximum time limit of videos that can be uploaded is constantly increasing, which allows the authors of clips to consciously tell some stories. Maxim Mussel took the increase in the size of the video in Instagram to a minute as a "sign from above". And the modern development of mobile and home Internet is a reliable base in terms of uploading, sending videos and implementing projects in General.
✔ In the near future, we should develop a language that expresses the uniqueness of mobile shooting. However, several things are already clear. The viewer has tremendous confidence in mobile video, because tomorrow they can also shoot and photograph something. The smartphone today becomes the first tool of a modern creative person after the pen. It makes it possible to do something big and bright with small means. Especially considering the cameras that even inexpensive phones are equipped with today.
It's time to teach students video culture and the ability to create video content in the world of modern technologies and telecommunications.
Personally, I think the students will like it. And, to be honest, I'm interested in it myself.
