I had to learn the picture patterns, still not real good at it, but I bought a Japanese Crochet pattern book, because it had some nice things in there. Problem of course is I could not read Japanese, but they did have the picture patterns, so I learned them.
That sounds right up my street I’ve been looking at the Japanese crochet patterns and tatting patterns they have some very complicated things in there
