Crypto Art & Design Challenge Round 9: IOTA Crypto Soup
Hi Steemit community,
Here is my digital art entry to the crypto art and design challenge by @sndbox. The cryptocurrency logo we are creating a design for is Iota. The famous artist I made reference to is Andy Warhol.
Andy Warhol is an American artist, director and producer. He is a well known figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works reflect the typical pop art culture which is about celebrity culture, and advertising during the 1960's.
I used the pop art style. The Campbell soup can is a popular image fit for this kind of art and I decided it will be my subject. I call it the Crypto Soup. It was fun playing with the idea. The different cryptocurrencies became the flavor or variety and their respective logo is a nice touch to each can they represent. On this drawing I only used two cryptos: Bitcoin and Iota. I want to show monotony and out of it pops my subject. I achieved that by making a repetitive pattern of the Bitcoin can soup on the background while the focal point was reserved for Iota on the center. I used blue for Iota to give a bit of contrast on the repetitive red.
I am happy with what I have accomplished so far and couldn't think of any other style other than pop art. I hope you like reading about my entry. Have a good one.
