Marketing LOTUS... And Steem. Input Appreciated!
Most Steemians that have been here for a while lament the lack of marketing of Steem on a large scale level. Now, with the explosion of Tribes, we have begun to see it is up to US to market as much as we can. So us at Natural Medicine have been brainstorming about how we might begin to do this. Inspired by Weedcash's business card, I set to work making a cute QR code that links straight to www.naturalmedicine.io and a business email address, [email protected]!!! Thanks @richardcrill for the help here. In fact I also have to credit @frejafri for the sketch of the LOTUS, and @crimsonclad for making it a clean digital image for us!

I made the flyer first, designed to be printed off in A5. Anyone is welcome to print this off and share around or stick to walls, toilets or traffic light poles!! Take a photo of the creative place you put it and we might even send you some LOTUS. We all have to realuse that the more we ALL market these front ends, the more traffic we bring to Steem in general.
Next was the business card. I am still unsure about this one and would love your input. Do we have less clutter on front and put the writing on the back? Which option do you prefer and why? How would you change it?

Taking into account @derangedvision's idea about changing the question to an imperative and getting rid of border and 'scan here'. This also takes into account @pennsif's suggestion to keep it one sided so it can be pinned to noticeboards and mentioning being rewarded in 'coin' - a few changes to wording.
Or should it have a border?

Would you be a LOTUS ambassador and a good Steemian and share these around, once we have the final design?
I don't know whether or not this has already been considered or explored (it probably has but I'll throw it out there anyway), but it could be worth considering a partnership of sorts with reputable online supplier of natural remedy products, to see if they could be interested in accepting the LOTUS token as a payment option.
This immediately gives the token more appeal outside the blockchain as it has a real world use.
There is only one possible block to this, and that is that any company/business would want the equivalent LOTUS for $$..... the reality is at present, with current prices, we would be talking about amounts of LOTUS that most holders wouldn't have.
And with the volatility of smart-currency markets, I'm not certain 'mainstream' businesses still playing the fiat-money-trap-game will be up for it.
What they may be interested in is trading LOTUS for discounts, similar to Loyalty rewards or frequent-flyer points.... $$ + LOTUS...
It's still worth exploring. We just need some more people on team willing to be part of that little effort.... interested? ;-)
I agree, it would be a challenge to get over the line, particularly if you're asking someone who possibly (probably?) has little to no exposure to cryptocurrencies other than hearing Bitcoin on the news.
But it can also be a win/win. Even testing the waters with small steps like a discount, or a product sample or something brings a real world use. Once the token has a tangible use, it creates demand, people start to take notice and the value of the token comes up.
Throw into the mix an account for the pioneer business or businesses with a sponsored stake enabling them to reward people for reviewing their products and the like, and you bring engagement and excitement as well.
It's just sparking enough interest in someone that they're willing to embrace the hard work and small returns of the early days.
As for your final question, I don't think I'm the right bloke for the job. My exposure to the natural medicine culture is pretty limited, though I have tried a few products to help with my daughter's eczema, so I'm certain there are others better placed to assist.

I wish I could offer more advice, not too tech-savvy myself. I think the design looks good, but I only found out what QR codes are a couple of years ago. I'm probably not the best person to bounce these ideas off of, but I applaud the initiative @riverflows. You are really working hard for NM.io.

Using both back and front on the business cards will likely up the print costs.
You might be able to shave a few words off to make it lighter, check to see if every word is necessary.
For example you might just have...
For a FREE account email [email protected]
Create an acount, post great content or comment and engage with others to start earning LOTUS
It saves a few words / letters and still says the same.
The only other point I wonder about is whether there needs to be some point about the use of LOTUS coin? I'm not sure the term 'social coin' will have enough meaning...
One further thought - if you can keep the cards to single sided they can be pinned where there is just a little space - too little for the A5 flyer.
In the UK shops often only allow postcard size.

Here's a revised business card alternative - single sided.
Vista print doesn't have a word limit at all and it's not too costly to print them. Single sided better for pinning, that's for sure! I'll add this to the post as another option - along with @derangedvision's idea about maybe ditching the border.
A REALLY GOOD facebook post that explains the How and Why. Just mentions being rewarded for content that can be exchanged for cash. No mention of coins, tokens, steem or crypto. All of us who have business FB pages with lots of wellness peeps (My Pure Thai Naturals biz page has 2600 followers roughly- lots of massage and body workers) can put the post up regularly for our people.
I like option 2 for the business card with the main focus on getting them to scan over to www.naturalmedicine.io and a clearer picture of what is there.
I'm wondering if the flyers are to be used to put up whereever how many people who don't have a clue what @NaturalMedicine is about let alone Lotus coin
This is a language that we use for those connected to Steem in some way already so they would have some idea but most would not know what earning LOTUS coin means - they wouldn't have a clue!

I do like the idea of having flyers and business cards just wondering if we could highlight a language of the lay people (those not connected to Steem) like you do when you talk to people on Facebook and you say you can be rewarded for doing the thing you are doing on FB for free.
Hey, if you saw a flyer that said 'Get paid for writing' would you care about particulars BEFORE you looked up the site? Or would you scan QR code or look up site, where EVERYTHING to do with lotus/steem is accessible on the WELCOME page you land on? There is only so much info you can fit on card. I see what you mean, but some things are kinda an invitation to find out more, rather than a tell all kinda thing.

In my opinion, that A5 Sheet can be used as Brochure and when it comes to Business Card, option one is reflecting really perfect.

A short HOW and WHY to sign up for NM.io short slideshow or video ad for sponsoring on FB. No need to mention crypto or steem. :) Cheap promoted post targeting wellness practitioners?
I'm exhibiting at Mind Body Spirit here in Thailand - both 30/11 and 01/12 in Chiang Mai and a second event in Bangkok in March 2020. An A4 that I can print out "Get paid for blogging your natural medicine content without censorship" or something along those lines? QR code. I can have it on the table in an A4 perspex display. In fact, ANYONE can who has any kind of a market stall, shop or business where wellness clients or practitioners gather.

Oooh, how fun! I think it all looks great, but I'm drawn to option 3 of the cards. I don't like things too cluttered, so it tends to read better to have it split up on a front and a back I think. But any of them are pretty darn awesome to have to put the word out!
I think I'm with you - I have to fiddle a bit with them to make sure they're all properly aligned, but Option 3 is feeling good! You'll have to DM your address so maybe @alchemage can send you some when he gets his printed!
