The thoughts of home
Horns blaring far north
All I could see was a pole
Standing afar, hidden, unknown
The seafarer steers on close
Harbour on his mind,
Waiting for him, children and wife.

Nautical languages they speak
Mermaid of the sea
Luring all who couldn't keep there numb
Making husbands in the deepest of earth
Help, help, they wail as they go deep
Save our soul, as the mermaid draws in.

To the wife waiting at home, smiling
Lover will be back, full of loving
A kiss, a peck, sex, deep romancing
All running through her head, fantasizing
What will he bring, a gold chest, a Medusa jewelries
But none could tell the fate that lies ahead
Nobody knew, the journey won't have an end.

Wail, wail, sweetheart, for me, wail
Easy on sea, alone. When mermaid came
Dangling there silver breast, jiggling the succulent
Making the eyes weary for lust
No one near to caution me, I jumped
Voice so sweet, caressing so pleasing
Till man know no home anymore
Wail, wail, sweetheart, for me, wail.

@botefarm I found your poem to be so sad, I had a dear friend who was lost at sea, he fell off the boat at night they saw him and threw a buoy but by the time they could get to him he was gone. I will just say it is not a nice environment where they were at. He had a wife and a 2-year-old son.

@botefarm I am sorry, I thought about this after I posted it, I did not mean to insult your poem, it was good. it just brought that memory back to me and I should have left it as a memory and not put the thoughts in your head. Again I am sorry.
