The light of her wish.
Create: A Rainbow bridge.

The formal structure that slowly evolved: Two pairs of 'columns' with a rectangle separating them, gave me the freedom to intuitively explore the spaces in between them: Beginnings of 'The Tree of Life' symbolism and how to represent evolving energy.
I was also interested, and still am, in the freedom to create with juxtaposition and bonding of images/natural objects within the given boundaries of fixed shapes within the format.
For about twelve months I enjoyed playing with the freedom that this format was giving me: Before realizing that the 11:11 symbol was 'alive and active' in my work. Recognizing the significance of the 11:11 ~ My assemblage work changed FOREVER.
I have loved and worked with many art modalities, and at times I've wondered if I was to always be a 'Jill of all trades but master of none.' It's only now in retrospect, that it's easy for me to see that everything that I have ever created, or even simply thought of creating, lies within me and can now be brought together in some of my major works. There have also been just a few consistent threads that have been weaving in and out of my work, including:
- An affinity felt between nature, natural healing and art.
- A love of beauty and unity, harmony and balance.
- A love of pure colour and muted tones, light and dark, transparency and translucency.
- A love of symbols, numbers, association and representation. ~Ally.
What is the 11:11?
The 11:11 can be thought of as being:
A pre-encoded trigger placed into our cellular memory banks prior to our descent into matter. Nvisible.
Our journey through the 11:11 Doorway: Brings us to the remembrance that we are all part of One Being. It reconfigures our evolutionary labyrinth. It makes visible the invisible. It enables us to live in the expanded HERE and NOW of the Greater Reality. It births a totally new paradigm based on pure heart love and trueness. Nvisible.
The Assemblages.
These works measuring 300 x 240 mms were produced in 2002.
They were part of a series of 12 collages and although they were only intended as 'models' for larger works, they were works in their own right and were exhibited in an art gallery in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
It was the first time that I used all my own photographs in my collage work ~ After completing a two year part-time Photography Course: Learning how to use my Nikon FG as well as developing and printing my own photographs.

This assemblage was the first in a series of four entitled: The Mystic Gateway 11:11 Series: The Garden.

The production of Welcoming the Pathway.
The assemblage was made from two distinct layers: A background and a foreground image separated by glass and constructed into a box frame.
Unfortunately, the photographs are not very clear and a bit on the dull side, but never-the-less can give you an indication of the process.
The Process: Background Layer.
The main background is a black and white photograph, hand-tinted with oil paints: A stone stairway, captured at a Japanese Garden in Terrey Hills, Sydney.
A second photograph: This time in colour: Is slightly raised above the surface of the background image. The hand is held over the heart area, as if holding something very precious. A heart of diamontes surrounds this image.
Upon this Pathway of the Open Heart.

The Process: Foreground Layer.
Pink netting was dampened and scrunched. When dry it was gently molded into folds and creases and spread over a sheet of glass. It was then lightly highlighted with a gold spray.
Four long rectangles are slightly raised on top of the netting: The same photograph of a barefoot figure, looking up, with hands feeling the 'energy of the throat/communication' area, is in each rectangle.
Lines through these rectangles represent a Star Tetrahedron: The three dimensional 'Star of David.'
The two squares are also slightly raised on top of the netting. Bringing a vibrant magenta into the middle of the work: Symbolizing the link between Heaven and our Earthly communication.
Now the real fun part.
Trying to represent energy rising between the rectangles and a simplified version of 'The Tree of Life' ~ I used indigenous grasses, sprayed with gold with silk threads and feathers. Extremely fiddly work but I love working like this.

Final Process.
A box frame was made with the sides lined with scrunched pink netting.
The foreground and background layers were enclosed within the box frame: A separation of about 25 mms. between them. The box frame was then sealed with a glass covering, as per normal framing.
Most of the works in this series were either sold or I've given them away. Fortunately, I still have a few, including Welcoming the Pathway and so I was able to re-photograph the completed work with my SONY Mark2 A7.

Stylized with the Deep Dream Generator.
Just out of curiosity I slightly stylized Welcoming the Pathway with the 'Deep Dream Generator' using the image as both the Base and the Style Image.
My world is becoming even brighter.

While it's always interesting to see what the slightest amount of stylization can do ~ I still prefer the original.

The 11:11 in my Ephemeral Art Pieces.
Since working with the 11:11 in this way, much of my work has employed the 11:11 symbol: Sometimes it can't be seen in the final pieces as I tend to layer other imagery over it. Or instead of 4 hard-edged rectangles, I'll often use organic shapes.
For instance, in this ephemeral art piece, Frozen Roses the miniature roses were arranged as an 11:11 under and on the surface of the ice.

In the montage: The Seed of Life, the 11:11 is formed by large transparent feathers.

I remember when a friend first introduced me to the 11:11 and later that evening, as I was mulling over how I could incorporate it into my artwork ~ I realized it was already in my work. Very significant post for me! I wrote an essay on the number 11 around this time of year five or six years ago, trying to find more resources for why it was specifically a solar number (a student of Kabbalah had once heard and wanted to deepen their understanding of). There is not a lot out there on the number, however, so I greedily sucked up your understanding of it and how this aided you in producing your art.
The idea of the Christ Consciousness (Solar God/Goodness/Universal Sophic Force) as a Doorway speaks to me anew through your (royal purple) work.
