THE ART OF SAYING NOTHING

And now that we have arrived to this point it is time to delve into greater detail about all that has been left unsaid.
Who are you talking to?
I’m talking to the walls.
Well, you’d better go to bed soon or they might start talking back to you.
Not until I’m going home huge and rolling down the mountain in the stop-gap losses.
Well I do believe that marmalade earns you a cup of tea.
And what do you believe in most profoundly said the fountain of all disbelief gasping for its last breath.

I do not believe you; entirely, about this, but I’m willing to give it a try.
Oh jolly good show, step right this way. Do you have an umbrella?
No, I think I left it at home.
Well then, come around this corner here, with me, and we can do some talking.

Yes, I came to that conclusion a long time ago.
Oh.
I came to the conclusion while humping my suitcase out of the train door onto the next platform of my life that life was a lot of humping and going around in circles and nodding my head like that car dog wimping that I just had to laugh at the absurdity of it all, and though I’d cut my beard a while back in favour of the Buddhist look I missed all the signs of the approaching storm that would keep me awake at nights until the morning came and the birds took over.
I was kind of double back-firing about this in the sand when my guru turned up unexpectedly and looked over my shoulder and gave me the eye.
I felt most peculiar then and my toes curled up all on their own.
What are you doing down there said my guru?
Looking up at you I said.
And what conclusion have you come up with while you’ve been down there?
I want to get out of here.
