How to pump your intellect
Not realising the importance of the intellect in life people make no attempt to develop their own. Instead, they merely indulge in acquiring intelligence through surface reading of others' periodicals and publications.
Our mind is like a muscle: to develop it, it needs to be trained. How to do it.

1. Be curious
I have no special talents. I'm just very curious.
Albert Einstein
Are you curious? Are you taking everything for granted or are you trying to get to the bottom? Be curious and learn how the world works.
You can start with everyday things and phenomena. For example, try to find out what ingredients make bread, what components the computer consists of, what the area and volume of the Earth is, what our atmosphere consists of. These are just examples of those questions that you can occupy your mind.
Curiosity has always been the hallmark of all geniuses. An inquisitive mind better generates new ideas. Keep your mind open and be prepared to always learn something new.
2. Read books and articles that are not related to your field of activity
Try to expand the horizons: read about space travel, start to study, for example, anthropology and genetics - something that has nothing to do with your current work.
Read the biographies of great inventors. Exit the comfort zone, expand your knowledge of the world. So you will not only become smarter, but also become an interesting conversationalist.
3. Train the brain
The right exercises for the brain can improve mental abilities. Like exercise, mental practices are equally important for the development of intelligence. Start with simple exercises and gradually move on to more complex ones.
4. Go in for sports
One simulator for the brain is not enough. No wonder they say: "In a healthy body - a healthy mind." This proverb can be rephrased: "In a healthy body, healthy brains". Physical exercises are useful not only for your body. From a purely scientific point of view, they increase the flow of blood to the brain and the production of proteins that stimulate the creation of neural connections.
5. Learn something new
Learning something new is an excellent stimulation for the brain. At least remember the enthusiasm of Steve Jobs calligraphy in his student years. During the famous speech to the graduates of Stanford, he said: "If I had not signed up for that calligraphy course, the Mac would not have such excellent font sets."
You never know what kind of knowledge will be useful. Therefore, learn something new. You can start with the courses on one of the educational sites.
6. Read really useful blogs
If you are reading this article, then you are already halfway to the goal. But do not stop there. There are other useful websites on the Net that you should visit more often.
Use Pocket or other similar service for storing and reading articles. Try creating your own library of interesting materials in gadgets.
7. Maintain your own blog and share your impressions of what you read
Maintaining your own blog stimulates creativity. This is not only an opportunity to express yourself, but also help in organizing your own thoughts. When you share something, it improves your communication skills. The blog helps to keep your brain toned and makes you more creative.
When you write about something, you start to understand it better.
Try to make weekly or monthly digests from the most interesting that you read during this period.
