IT is mine

what is mine?

Is it the bride 💃that just got tangled with her supposed lover after I tagged her for a relationship, which I didn't receive the response, until recently I just heard she got married. Ouch! That hurts but such is the life!? Although have given her my blessings and have moved on since then.Obviously she is never gonna be mine.😕

So What is mine🤔???

it the lost phone that was recovered as reported by the local police authority, an after event of a program I attended, you might be familiar with it " THE EXPERIENCE " ( might talk about that in another post) which held on Dec. 2017 of which I was unfortunate to lose my phone at the close of the event?Hell NO!

Huh! This is getting frustrating but let me try once more

what is mine?????

Because if IT is mine then wisdom demands I go for IT. OH YES! You heard me LOUD and CLEAR. That is the motivation you need when you need to confront your fears or move ahead in life when you are stuck and don't know where to turn to.



So why go for IT?
Forget all the musings, am just trying to get your ATTENTION!

IT is an acronym which stands for Information Technology. IT is the driving force that keeps many aspects of our daily lives ticking, starting from the success story recorded in medicine to keep us alive and healthy till old-age to the miracle that saves an unborn child rubbed of having a chance to even be born even less to live. Many of this thing would not have being possible in times past and that is why we all love "The Technology Age".

Can we say technology gives life? Maybe No, but it is difficult to argue it offers a second chance to many.

How do you know you need to go for IT?

Try asking yourself this questions before you read on!

There are some key pointers that you need to identify apart from passion that tells you that you will likely succeed in your chosen field. Few of those can come in the form of questions:

Do you love solving riddle?

Do you love owning your own idea?

Imagine the steem platform, the amount of communications that happens everyday. Then ask yourself. Would this have being possible without technology? Or would @dan and @ned be owning the idea without technology?

Do you love computational and logic assignments?

Mathematics and everything logic must be your playground if you are to have a shot at the IT industry.

The thing is most of the the tech gurus developed interests in numbers right from their tender age. So you see, it's the love for numbers and logic that prevails.

Do you love to work smart?

This affords one to work with flexibility and the effect of this can't be underestimated. For instance, in my present work schedule because I run shift work, I will have to do around 10 hours to maintain the shift program. This has reduced me to a sleep - work - sleep syndrome. Hardly have time to make other runs, even less catch fun or hang around with family and friends. And this certainly hampers my growth on steemit.

But looking at it from a different angle, I found out most work cycle are similar and the only sector where you could buy some valuable time for your self and your family is definitely in the IT industry.

So working smart affords the worker more time to recharge and stay refreshed everytime a new idea is being conceived and that is why today IT personnel are the biggest achievers of our world.

This takes us to my last point.......

Do you love to impact millions of lives doing the things you love? 

Today steemit is regarded as the fastest growing social app in the technology space and they are breaking new grounds while impacting millions of lives positively. It takes the commitment of a team of people with the same shared visions and goals as the founders.!

But if you have a job now, should you quit and pursue a career in IT?

I will love to share a story with you.

Recently a friend of mine who we got extracted into my current company at about the same time just left the work for a role in IT industry. Although he was paid handsomely and the future looks good to people from the outside but to him he was not where he wants to be.



When we got talking, he explained to me that he lost interest in the job due to the stress associated with it, but here is a guy who was lucky to be assigned to one of the less active section of the company, the stock keeping and inventory, while most of his colleagues have to serve in the mechanical, electrical or the production section of the company. Those of you who have worked in a food milling company will understand me better.

At the end of our conversation, I realised the reason for his decision was not really stress related, although he has to work for long hours in his present role; but he found an opportunity to pursue a career in something he us really interested. I knew this from the time we spent at the University because he was always someone who has this passion in technology, much so, he even managed to join IEEE-XTREME, a platform that encourages the learning of computer programming and that was how it all started for him, combining it with his studies because he was quite a brilliant student.

This story should really capture the way you make decisions about your life to have that drive to follow your passion.


👉 IDENTIFY your strength, If they match your interest, If not enrol for more training and get equipped with the necessary skills

👉 BIDE your time and wait for that opportunity just as my friend did.. very important ( I must admit am still at this stage)

👉 lastly, take that bold step when the opportunity comes. Keep it in mind but do your present job with enthusiasm.
