A Week Of Contrast, Tradegy and Hope

in #life5 years ago

It's Saturday and when I look back at this week, it's truly a week of great contrasts, massive tradegy and of hope.

Tradegy

So we first had an airplane from, Boeing 737 MAX 8, Ethiopian Airlines, crash and killing hundreds of passengers.

And from the leaked details and the probable connection to an earlier crash a few months back, it might have been avoidable, which is an even greater tradegy.

But as that wasn't enough, a terrorist killed 49, or more, people in Christchurch, New Zealand, around 2 mosques.

Only to have hate show it's ugly face, and that makes me truly sad.

So to any who lost friends and family, you have my deepest sympathy and my sincere condolenses.

Hope

But there was also hope.

First Tesla released the Model Y, and we are one step closer to a sustainable future that we can be really optimistic about.

For every new model that Tesla makes, they not only sell another great electric vehicle, but they also put that much more pressure on the legacy automakers to do the same.

These EVs have now come down to a price point where they not only competes in higher performance, and fuel savings, but directly on purchase price.

And then yesterday, thousands of kids skipped school all around the world, to protest against the lack of affirmative action against climate change.

They are showing that the next generation cares about the world they live in, and that they are willing to fight for it.

And the person who was the greatest inspiration to it, Greta Thunberg, got nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

This all gives me hope, that the humans of planet earth actually can have a bright future ahead, we just need to act now.

My Week

So for myself, it's now over 7 weeks since I started making Daily Blogposts here on Steemit, and it has been fantastic.

The community is amazing, and there is so much that I want to share it's hard to find the time to write it all.

I also keep on doing the daily 7 pushups of the #seven77 Twitter challenge, and that actually made me publish video online for the first time ever.

Plus I got a major delegation of 777 SP from @nathanmars, thank you so much.

And looking ahead, I have first some ebooks to finish writing about Steemit Blogging & Funding, plus continue to make posts and comments and upvotes.

But also to realise the ideas I have on cashflow, affiliate marketing and the connection to Steem and Steemit.

So that's it for today.

Thanks for reading, follow and like if you do, and have a nice day.

Sincerely,
Erik Gustafsson
