It must be that the empire is striking back. Just imagine what it must be like to have a network of banks that have been lying to its clients for centuries. By now it must have been sickening watch so many free individual become successful outside of the banking system. Surely this epic fall of the cryptocurrency market must have something to do with the government cohering with banks to wage a war on those who own decentralized monetary systems as well as decentralized apps. Just look at how bleak the top 10 cryptos on the market are looking:

The market cap for cryptos has literally snapped in half in less that 24 hours:
