Covid 19 readyness
Hello,
I feel obligated to to tell everyone to relax. Covid 19 is not a threat to most people. Only those with serious ongoing health problems, the very old and very young should be protected by limiting their exposure to sick people or carriers of the bug.
So, if you are out there working to make sure the stores are stocked, power, and water are flowing, keep up the great work you are doing. We appreciate your life long sacrifice to make our lives comfortable.
Most people in retail spend at least 8 hours on their feet for 5 or 6 days a week, every week for 30 or more years. That roughly works out to 10 years of standing! Dang! My feet just winced at that thought. I feel so guilty for waiting so long to say something publicly about it. Thank you retail worker for all you do for your family and all of us. We salute you as the everyday hero that you are.
If you feel unprepared without some hand sanitizer, don't worrt, I have a solution. You can make your own with some houshold stuff you may already have lying aroumd. Rubbing alcohol is used in hospitals everyday to sanitize tables, syringes and even your skin. It will dry your hands out so repeated use alone is not recommended. Don't worry, we have a solution.
EDIT, I MADE A HUGE TYPO. SHOULD READ 3 PARTS ALCOHOL TO 1 PART ALOE. SORRY.
Place finished product in soray bottle for use. Again, I appologize for my error and hope no one got sick. Washing hands for 30 seconds with soap is still the best practice.
Mix 3 parts aloe to 1 part rubbing alcohol (70% or 90%), and you have some powerful yet protective hand sanitizer. You can even use vodka in a pinch but that is too expensive. YMMV. Remember to get plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Wash them thorougly and then wash again. Better to be safe than sorry.
Also, If you have a sauna or hot car, sit in there a few minutes, 5-10 minutes, 3 times a day until you feel better. These viruses die in high heat. Your body gives you a fever to kill them naturally. The sauna is just a fake fever which can accomplish the same virus killing result. Some people even use hair dryers to do the same. Again, YMMV. Be carfeul and make sure you have water and some bananas or melon to rehydrate and replace some electrolytes.
I am not a doctor. These are things I have seen work. I want to share my experience. If it helps, we are both happy. Take care and stay safe.
