Otherwise healthy kids are still being hospitalized for COVID. Of those hospitalized, it is predominantly unvaccinated and undervaccinated children. You can get these new vaccines regardless of your previous vaccination status- especially if your child is unvaccinated they should get it.

I really blame the fearmongering among some individuals regarding vaccine myocarditis for this. The discourse around this matter was so divorced from reality. There is a net benefit for all ages with these new coronavirus vaccines- it is why there is a universal recommendation.

We aren't seeing high rates of vaccine myocarditis with the booster doses. In fact the vaccine myocarditis rates for children were statistically negligible with the bivalent booster doses.
