The CDC director signs off on the new coronavirus vaccines.
Expect them to be available tomorrow or at the latest Friday. They should be available at all the normal locations as before. Note that these vaccines will again be free for the end-user- either covered by your insurance or if your insurance doesn't cover them, a government bridge program will cover them for you.
Everyone aged 6 months and older is eligible for this new vaccine at least two months after their last dose.
These vaccines target XBB.1.5, which is a close match to circulating variants. CDC modeling indicates we can avert 400k hospitalizations and 40k deaths over the next two years with the vaccine.
