Tomorrow the CDC's advisory committee ACIP will vote on them. Then CDC Director Walensky will do the final sign off. No surprises expected. So kids should be able to get vaccinated next week.*

Parents' best option should probably be to reach out to their pediatrician's office for this age group. Though some pharmacy chains are also vaccinating this age group.

*Might not be the case in Florida which is the only state that hasn't preordered vaccines. Pharmacies and hospitals will have to order them on their own in the state. Florida also is explicitly not recommending the vaccines for healthy children and not going to do any coronavirus vaccine outreach for young kids. Freedumb!

Moderna's vaccine is for ages 6 months through 5 years old and two shots 4 weeks apart.

Pfizer's is for ages 6 months through 4 years old and three shots. The second shot 3 weeks after the first. The third shot 2 months after the third.

Moderna's vaccine was also authorized for older children up through 17 years old.
