47 Red Zone COVID-19 in Indonesia

A spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force said that this week's Corona cases increased from the previous level to 13.5 percent. Apart from the increase in the number of testing, the increase in COVID-19 cases was also due to decreased public discipline regarding the COVID-19 protocol.
"I remind you again that the trend of increasing cases of COVID-19 is still happening. In fact, on Thursday last week, December 3, 2020, the increase in positive cases reached 8,369. This figure shows a very dangerous condition and reflects the high transmission that occurs in Indonesia. the public, "said Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force in a virtual press conference broadcast on YouTube to the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday (8/12/2020).

"This is the result of a drastic reduction in the level of public discipline in adhering to 3M's health protocols (washing hands, wearing masks, and maintaining distance)," he continued.

Meanwhile, this week there are 47 regencies and cities that are in the red zone of COVID-19. This data was compiled by the COVID-19 Task Force as of December 6, 2020.

The province that recorded the most districts and cities in the red zone of COVID-19 is still occupied by Central Java. There are 7 districts / cities in Central Java that are included in the COVID-19 red zone.

Followed by West Java, which recorded 6 districts and cities in the red zone of COVID-19. DKI Jakarta returned to the red zone after the previous week it was 'free' from the high risk zone.
