Cover Letter, A Sweet Nightmare!

You are a fresh graduate, you hear of an opportunity and you want to apply right away and you hope that you secure the job as soon as possible. You are in a company earning good sum, having so much experience and you get an opportunity to climb the ladder, transit to a better position and a better place. For aforementioned scenario two things are common prerequisite, one being the resume and other cover letter. Both are a crucial things to land the job you desire.

This article is not about the resume, for the time being we will be focusing on cover letter and how to end this sweet nightmare for many candidates applying for jobs.

What is a cover letter?

A cover letter is the front face of you and your resume. An employer before going through your resume would get a better idea about you and your skills from your cover letter.

What should a cover letter include?

Although cover letters are a lot less rigid than CVs, there are some things should be considered like why you want to apply, how did you find about the position, what is your past experience related to the job you are applying for and why you are the best suitable candidate.

So, to sum up, as your CV is supposed to be short, concise and effective your cover is the best way to showcase your skills and experience.
