Who are the Cowardly Lions?

This is a short write-up on courage/determination. I will be using a book to explain my view on this topic. 

The Cowardly Lion is a character in the anecdotal Land of Oz created by American author L. Frank Baum. He is a Lion, however he talks and interacts with people. 

While many people are scared to stand up for what they believe in, lot of dreams die with such act. If you have a slightest idea about how many people your act of bravery and determination in fulfillling what you believe in would help to become something better in life, you will take the step. Without even looking at that, you need to consider the people you look up to or see as mentors and that is because they took certain steps then to become what they are now. If they had let fear or some circumstances to decide their future for them, you wouldn't be proud of them or be happy to emulate them.

Since lions should be "The Kings of Beasts," the Cowardly Lion believes that his fear makes him deficient. He doesn't comprehend that fearlessness implies acting in the face of fear, which he does much of the time. Just amid the eventual outcomes of the Wizard's gift, when he is affected by an unknown substance that the Wizard ordered him to drink (maybe gin) is he not loaded with fear. He claims that the courage from the Wizard is just for a while, despite the fact that he keeps on doing daring deeds while straightforwardly and embarrassingly dreadful. 

While many will try tell you what to do as against what you truly wanted to do, it is better to look inward and be sure of what you want out of life, then go for it! As the saying goes: there is a drop of greatness in every man. Do not let anybody or anyone make you less human by believing so much in your dream and standing up for what you truly believe in.

Kill that fear or cowardice by standing tall, put your head up and GO for it!

It is normal to be frightful, however it takes away great deal from you and probably make you less human as indicated by Professor Wole Soyinka, the man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny. 

In the book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, where The Cowardly Lion was mentioned, in spite of outward proof that he is absurdly dreadful; The Cowardly Lion shows awesome bravery along the way.

The Wizard gives him a dish of obscure fluid, telling him it is “courage” to drink. 

Who will you offer courage to drink?

Think about it! Our 'actions' and inaction go a long way in influencing others! Be positive!
