Cosplay!

Life is more fun with Cosplay in it! And Raggedy Anne above is one of my favorites!

According to Wikipedia, Cosplay is defined as:

A contraction of the words 'costume play' and is a hobby in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. Characters typically come from sources like anime, cartoons, comic books, live-action films, television series and video games. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture and a broader use of the term "cosplay" applies to any costumed role-playing in venues apart from the stage.

My personal definition is that Cosplay is Halloween in July. As a staff photographer for one of the most famous venues for cosplay and cosplayers alike, the San Diego Comic Con, I'm blessed to have the opportunity to see these marvelous people and their costumes up close and personal.

Cosplay, as mentioned above, is a sub-culture all of its own and cosplayers are dedicated individuals that are devotees to their characters and the source from where their character springs from. It's fun to do, it's fun to see and it's a chance, oftentimes, for someone to explore the possibilities of becoming someone or something greater for a day.
