Corruption in D.C. Reaches Peak Levels
I pity any one naive enough to think Drumpf and his ilk would "drain the swamp" in D.C. He, more than any other President, has kept it flowing. Today, the public received even more tragic news. The director of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), Walter Shaub Jr., plans to resign before his term is complete and accept a position with The Campaign Legal Center. Under Shaub, the OGE has butted heads with the White House on several occasions. In sum, the OGE wanted greater transparency and accountability and Drumpf's kind, didn't.
Shaub's resignation letter expresses his disappointment that the OGE isn't as strong it needs to be and that he could effectuate more change at CLC. Thank you for your service, Shuab. I wish you could've left on a high note.
