Big Pharma Secretly Paying Millions For Settlements After Antidepressants Are Linked To Mass Homicide!

Whenever there is a mass-shooting, many people automatically conclude the culprit was abusing prescription medication before performing the heinous act.

Looking back into history we can see that the most notorious homicidal shooters of this century were taking antidepressants or Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) before they carried out their rampages.

Many more killings have been linked directly to these drugs. The pharmaceutical companies which manufacture the most popular SSRIs have paid hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.

Eli Lilly Paid Secret Settlements to Survivors After Man on Prozac Went on Shooting Rampage in 1989

Joseph T. Wesbecker, 47, carried out a mass shooting in which he shot 20 workers at Standard Gravure Corp. in Kentucky, in September 1989. Eight of the victims were fatally wounded, and Wesbecker ended the rampage by shooting and killing himself.

Westbecker had started taking the antidepressant Prozac only a month earlier. The side effects of this medication includes "obsession with suicide and dangerously violent behavior" according to an article in the American Journal of Psychiatry.

When the victims demanded lawsuits against Eli Lilly to argue that the Prozac is to blame for violent outbursts and suicidal tendencies, the company convinced all the victims to accept settlements outside of court.

GlaxoSmithKline Paid $6.4 Million to the Family of a Man Who Murdered Three Family Members Hours After Taking Paxil in 1998

Donald Schell, 60, was prescribed the antidepressant Paxil to treat depression in Wyoming in February 1998. Within hours of taking the first dosage, he burst into a fit of rage and fatally shot his wife, Rita; their daughter, Deborah Tobin; and their 9-month-old granddaughter, Alyssa.

Schell continued to shoot and kill himself. His remaining family knew the Paxil was to blame and they filed a wrongful death lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline.

The family members were awarded $6.4 million because of "the company’s failure to sufficiently warn doctors and patients that the effects of the drug could include agitation and violence."

GlaxoSmithKline Also Paid $3 Million to the Widow of a Man Who Committed Suicide After Taking Paxil in 2010

Stewart Dolin, 57, was working as a corporate attorney in Illinois when he was prescribed the generic version of the antidepressant Paxil for depression and anxiety. While taking the drug, he committed suicide by jumping in front of a Chicago Transit Authority train.

Wendy Dolin (the man's widow) filed a lawsuit which argued that the company failed to warn her husband's physician about the dangers of the Paxil that he was administered.

“This for me has not just been about the money. This has always been about awareness to a health issue, and the public has to be aware of this,” Wendy Dolin told the Chicago Tribune after she received her $3 million in compensation.

Scratching The Surface

The above cases are notable because they received quite significant media coverage, we may have only touched the surface when it comes to secret compensation given to victims of Big Pharma's profit driven actions.

According to this report, the first lawsuit ever to reach court involving Paxil was in 2001. GlaxoSmithKline has paid more than $390 million in settlements and verdicts for Paxil-related incidents.

What I seem to wonder the most is: if $390 million is the price they are willing to pay to victims, then the profit from this heinous drug must be outstanding!

It's a brilliant business model. The "losses" which occur by having to pay some fines are already included in the price of the "medication".
But the benefits go far, far deeper. Depopulation, Eugenics, the whole health care system, deterioration of society, the crooked "law" system, the prison system and the government profit from this scheme.
Addiction to drugs can destroy families, creates criminals and helps the government transferring wealth from the middle class to pay for private jails via taxes. It's a goose which lays golden eggs. A gift that keeps on giving in areas most people don't even think of. A few millions in damages? A joke...

It is very scary to see this happening!

I hope we can see a more positive angle on the whole situation playing out in the future!
