GekeVenn: WPP GROUP

in #corporatism6 years ago

WPP Group is the largest advertising company in the world. It also owns several lobbying shops including Prime Policy Group, Glover Park Group, and Ogilvy Government Relations. In total, WPP owns more than 400 companies in the areas of advertising, public relations, data analytics, lobbying, and media buying.

The CEO of WPP Group, Martin Sorrell, resigned last weekend amid an investigation into his alleged financial misconduct. It was reported by the Wall Street Journal that his resignation was to prevent WPP's board from publishing the results of that investigation.

One of its subsidiaries, Prime Policy Group is a key lobbying firm in Washington DC and the incestuous venn for WPP highlights only lobbying done by members of Prime Policy Group on behalf of its client / owner, WPP in 2017 for which WPP spent $200,000.

You won't find the link between WPP and Prime Policy Group without a little digging. The lobbying firm's parent company is Burson-Marsteller, a public relations and marketing firm based out of New York. Burson-Marsteller's parent company is advertising giant Young & Rubicam, whose parent company is WPP.
