GekeVenn: THERANOS (updated)
Last year, I posted a venn on Theranos but CEO Elizabeth Holmes has just recently been charged a $500,000 penalty by the SEC for defrauding investors and is being forced to give up majority control of her company, so the venn is in need of an update.
Theranos was the maker of blood testing technology that promised direct-to-consumer testing with much smaller amounts of blood than conventional testing required. However, the technology didn't work as promised and the company has since moved away from blood testing. Last year, Holmes was banned from owning or operating a laboratory for at least two years.
Theranos has been a poster company for Washington's revolving door. Several prominent former government officials have sat on the Theranos board: former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and George Shultz, former Secretary of Defense William Perry, former Senators Sam Nunn and Bill Frist, and the current Secretary of Defense, James Mattis. The former director for the Centers for Disease Control, William Foege, still sits on the board and Trump's current Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, was a Theranos investor.
Holmes had such strong connections to government because of her family's strong connections to government. Her father, Christian Holmes IV was a revolving-door staffer himself, working for Enron, as well as the US Agency for International Development. An older Enron venn is listed below that includes her father. Elizabeth's mother, Noel Anne Holmes, worked in the federal government as a foreign-policy and defense aide.

Thank's for the update,it seems that Elizabeth Holmes will use his family connection to the federal government and there is also lobbyist,she can use them also.Several prominent former government officials have sat on the Theranos board this is a matter of worried when there are do many government official are included in this matter then surely that person will get a advantage.Thank's for the update.
