Thoughts on Coronavirus and the Future of Humanity - Everything's gonna change
I know you are all worried about the Coronavirus pandemic right now. You are so badly waiting for it to end. To go back to your normal lifestyle.
Nobody knows when it is going to end for sure. The probability is too low. Even after we find a solution there’s no guarantee that it will not return. All we can do is try our best to find a cure. Or else we won’t survive if it comes back.
What the world will be like after a year from now? What are we going to do to make money? Will unemployment get worse? I've been asking questions like this to myself since it started. This thing is gonna last at least a year. So the world will not be the same as it was before.
Why haven’t we found a cure? Aren’t the doctors supposed to be smart enough to solve this? The doctors are struggling because they never encountered anything similar to this before.
Only a small percentage of them are actually geniuses. They work every day to improve. Experimenting all the time to find a better solution for all diseases.
Others are just doctors who don’t know anything other than the traditional knowledge of medicine. I think they don’t care about new discoveries. Not because they don’t want to do anything new, but because they are too comfortable staying the same.
In my opinion, most doctors don’t even know what to do when it comes to new problems. They are doing the same old things to cure new diseases. But, hey, you know if you do the same thing, you’ll get the same result.
So, how do we find a cure? I don’t know. I’m thinking about asking for help from an Artificially Intelligent Being. We haven’t created a complete one yet. But there are people who are working to create an AI program that’ll find a cure to all diseases. If we’re fortunate, we’ll have a solution from AI very soon and it’ll be one of the most extraordinary moments in human history. Until then, we humans have to control our desires for a long time to get rid of this. (You know, Social distancing, staying home all day/week/months, Cleaning your body many times a day, Being healthy and all that stuff)
AI is so smart that it will exceed all the human capabilities sooner than we expect. In the future, there’ll be no doctors, engineers, or laborers. All the work will be done by AI-powered robots. I hope, they will work for us to make our lives extraordinary. And their goals align with ours. There’ll be no disease, no deaths, no worries. Also, we’ll encounter countless scientific discoveries in a shorter timespan (like in a day, hours, or even minutes).
Okay, where am I? Coming back to Coronavirus.
Let's assume that we have found a cure. Can we treat all the patients in a shorter period? I don’t think so. Because manufacturing and distributing medicine to all the countries alone will take many days. There’ll be negotiations between countries. Lots of money exchanges.
And Politicians need to give up their ego in order to save their opponents.
Anyway, it’ll be like a long day. But let's hope for a faster cure.
