The future Coronavirus / Covid-19 vaccine - Look back to 1976 swine flu to possibly see what's next
For the coming preventative vaccine(s) already in development for Covid-19 / Coronavirus, it may prove useful to look back at the 1976 US swine flu outbreak and vaccination campaign that was "highly suggested" on the population, and pushed super "bigly yuge" by the CDC
CBS News' long-running 60 Minutes show did an insightful 1979 piece, regarding the aftermath. It aired just once (11/4/79). (16m 01s).
It includes a few old TV ads after the piece, promoting the free swine flu vaccine back in the day. The video is a little grainy given the period, but one still can make everything out.
Just some food for thought on things, and what may lie ahead. This time though, it may well be pushed more aggressively, and worldwide to boot. The choice will be your own to make.
In 2006, the CDC looked back at it all, and this is what they have officially on record now with Reflections on the 1976 Swine Flu Vaccination Program (5 page PDF download).
