I've never heard of such a thing. I have seen these cups before though. I've seen them recently, I think they are popular where I am because there is a popular alcoholic drink that requires a copper mug, and a lot of stores are selling the mugs. I don't drink, but I've always thought the mugs are nice looking. Now I have reason to buy some copper mugs without drinking alcohol!
