On July 1, an erratic and paranoid Bonds arrived in the emergency room at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, asking for mental health treatment at the urging of his worried girlfriend, officials said."

Then, all of a sudden, after being evaluated by MEDICAL MOTHERFUCKING PROFESSIONALS AND DECLARED COMPOSED, as soon as he shoots a cop, he's MAGICALLY ERRATIC AND PARANOID.

Call ME crazy,
But I THOUGHT the standard for sanity,
Legally,
Was up to medical professionals,
Right?
Presumably the very same that work at St Barnabas?

"Clark insisted that Bonds spent between seven and eight hours at the hospital, although cops said it was only an hour. The girlfriend said his strange behavior started about two weeks earlier.
Asked directly if Bonds was armed and violent, the girlfriend answered no, said police sources. The woman indicated she was concerned about him, and asked cops to locate Bonds."

I'm gonna skip ahead:

"Bonds was killed about a block away in a 20-shot fusillade of police bullets fired by two officers."

STILL HAS SHOCKED EXPRESSION ON FACE

There's that extrajudicial execution that doesn't qualify as assassination, again.

So, this is a man who was receiving psychiatric help.
Who had been evaluated recently, and released.

And as a sidenote:
"Police investigators also found Benadryl and a muscle relaxant in Bonds’ second floor apartment at 1031 Rev. James A. Polite Ave.
The anti-psychotic was Risperidone, typically used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, while the anti-depressants were identified as Bupropion and Escitalopram, sources said."

I wonder if those drugs have any side effects besides normal, healthy, high functioning, good old fashioned sanity?

So, I can only see two ways this could work:
Either it's quite sane and rational for a black man in NY to shoot a cop,
Or...

THE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT JUST REALLY MASSIVELY FUCKED UP.
Whichever way anybody wants to lean on this one is fine with me. Was he taking the drugs? If so, maybe they caused psychosis!

If not, that seems like the sort of thing that should come up while being evaluated by professionals, for fuck's sake.
I don't know the man, I don't know if he was crazy, and we'll never know, because angry cops murdered him, and that's just fine because he killed a cop, and that's exactly what you should expect: immediate extrajudicial execution.

Especially if you're a black man, since they're likely to shoot you anyway - Must have been suicidal at least.
But even the white ladies, if they shoot a cop, they're most likely gonna get shot back.

Of course, that's a one way policy.
Don't shoot back at the cops, folks.
Even if they kill your dog, murder your neighbor, harass and or detain and or assault you or your friends...
But if you do, it will be because you're a crazy person.
You should have been on drugs for that.

Or, if you were on drugs for that,
It will be because you were off your drugs.
