Vegan Jalapeno Poppers
Ingredients
- Seeded Halved Jalapeno
- Hummus
- Hemp Seed
- Strawberries
- Coconut Oil
- Half Lemon Juice
- Italian Dressing
I made Sauce with Strawberries pureed with Coconut oil and squeezed lemon. I then let sit for 2 hours.
Fill Jalepeno with hummus and then puree hemp seeds with Italian dressing to top like a cap. After completely covering top put in oven for 20 minutes at 350. Then add sauce for additional 10.
Leave more seeds in the hotter your guests can handle. I always like to leave at least 2 with seeds for the russian rueltte feel to things.
I've never thought to do poppers with hummus! Great idea! Though I might be a little put out if I was the one getting the pepper with seeds left, haha!
I warn my less adventurous friends. Im not cruel. Ive topped with onion and balsamic drizzle as well for vegan options

Nice vegan dish @toddfoster. I have never worked with hemp seeds. Are they soft enough to just puree or do you have to soak them first? I love spicy foods so I would be happy to get the hot jalapeño! Thanks for sharing your dish with us.
I add a little oil to puree. I use raw hemp seeds, so flax seed oil for health or Italian dressing for flavor
