Did @jznsamuel get his 'just deserts' or not, and why?

I see some of you jumping up and saying I've miss-spelled this phrase but apparently it's quite correct - meaning he got his “deserved reward or punishment”. I also thought it was two s's or should I say ss's?
I'm getting mightily confused here, but really, desert meaning an arid dry place is the total opposite of dessert which is a sweet end of dinner treat, but I now see that this old phrase could mean something good and nice or something really bad!

I do hope JZN has been enjoying the desserts the CWU foodies have been serving as he really deserves a reward for keeping the #dailyfoodphotography going for such a long while on Whaleshares.
PS I think we need this tag here on Steemit again don't you?

Anyone a fan of House Hunters International on the telly?
Well, I got my dessert inspiration from there - an easy but super delicious scrambled pancake called Kaiserschmarrn all the way from Austria.

Granny Google came to the rescue as I was craving this dessert - a super light and fluffy pancake traditionally made with rum soaked raisins but I changed that bit. The pancake is roughly cut into bite-sized pieces, caramelized with butter & sugar and garnished with a dusting of powdered sugar. Served with Apple sauce or preserves and berries, this is a perfect winter's dessert or a lovely treat for breakfast or brunch.

The recipe I used was from Platedcravings, so a big thank you to Julia for her blog; her Kaiserschmarrn looks so much better than mine; I also took the liberty of changing the fruity topping!

Kaiserschmarrn Recipe

Fruity topping

  • 1/3 cup Cake fruit mix
  • Rind & juice of 1 Orange

Pancake

  • 3 Eggs separated
  • 3 Tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 cup Cake wheat Flour
  • 1 cup milk

To Caramelize

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Sugar

Method
Place fruit, orange juice & rind in small pot, simmer slowly till all liquid has evaporated.

Beat egg yolks, butter, vanilla, sugar & salt together.
Add flour & milk alternately, beating till smooth.
Gently fold in egg whites.
Turn stove plate onto medium heat, pour a little oil & butter into a 30cm (12 inch) cast iron pan & pour batter in.
Cook over low to medium heat for about 6-7 min, sprinkle with soaked cake fruit.

When golden brown underneath, sprinkle with sugar, divide into quarters & turn over to cook underneath, adding a little butter before turning.
Break/cut into pieces in pan with spatula, add sugar & butter to caramelize.
Serve with Apple sauce, preserves & berries.
