Not gonna lie, the rat and feet threw me, but those plaintains... what were they on? Yummy stuff. Would have loved descriptions under each photo, explaining what they were.
The rat is a guinea pig. It called a 'cuy' because that is the sound they make. In Peru it is a delicacy but I found it awful to eat. It tasted like venison fried in vinegar. The chicken feet in the soup is pretty good. I didn't post the most gut-wrenching photos I have of the food I saw.
